Rodney Alan Dickerson, age 64, of Lucedale died Saturday, October 28, 2017 at home in Lucedale. Mr. Dickerson was born August 16, 1953 in Lucedale, MS. He is the son of the late Thomas and the late Bobbie (Mills) Dickerson. He married Roxanne Welford on May 21, 2016 at Dothan, AL.

He was employed by U. S. Navy as a Maintenance Technician. He served his country for over 20 years in the Navy Submarine division. Rodney was a member of the Rocky Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Roxanne (Welford) Dickerson, one daughter: Cortney Lynn of Dothan, AL and one son: Rodney A. Dickerson, Jr of Charleston, SC; two sisters: Karen Capps of Lucedale, MS and Debbie Rogers of Ocean Springs, MS, and one brother: Tommy Dickerson of Lucedale, MS; step son, Jay Mosely of Lucedale, MS; 8 grandchildren1 great grandchild.
Preceded in death by: Daughter, Stephanie Dickerson and Step Daughter, Sara Palmer

The funeral will be held 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Greg Barker officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery.
