Roy Wayne Stanford, age 75, of Greene County, MS died Saturday, January 21, 2017 at home.
Mr. Stanford was born January 6, 1942 in Leakesville, MS. He is the son of the late Robert and
the late Annie Lee (Parker) Stanford. He married Margie Howell on October 15, 1960 at
Lucedale, MS.

He served in the U. S. Army from 7/21/1960 to 9/30/1965. He was employed by Ingalls
Shipbuilders as a Quality Inspector. Roy retired from Ingalls Shipbuilders after 36 years of
service from 1964-2000. He was a talented musician and an excellent craftsman. Mr. Stanford
was a member of Windburn Chapel United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife: Margie (Howell) Stanford and three daughters: Becky (LeBarron)
McLeod, Linda (Chris) Fallon and Judy (Greg) Mathis,; two sisters: Sylvia Williams and Rae
Odom, and two brothers: Buddy Stanford and John Stanford,; He also has six grandchildren,
three great-grandchildren. grandson, Matt (Samantha) McLeod; grandson, Jake (Jamie)
McLeod; granddaughter, Mollie (Benji) McLeod; granddaughter, Maggie (Dustin) Helton;
grandson, Zack Mathis; grandson, Nathan Mathis; Great grandchild, Trenton McLeod; Great
grandchild, Jacob McLeod; Great grandchild, Aubree McLeod.

Predeceased by his daughter, Trudy Leigh Stanford, brother, Gerald Stanford, brother, Paul
Stanford, sister, Juanita Nelson

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 24 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main
St., Lucedale, MS. Burial will be in Winborn Chapel Cemetery, Leakesville on Tuesday, January
24 at 12:30 pm.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 24 from 10:00am-11:00am at Sigler Funeral Home,
