Rufus Alexander "Mack" McLeod, age 69, of Lucedale passed away on Sunday, December 20,
2015 at Mobile Infirmary of Mobile, AL. Mr. McLeod was born November 3, 1946. He is the son
of the late Rufus and the late Glova (Brewer) McLeod. He married Marquita Jones on
November 25, 1966.
He served in the Army Reserve. He was employed by International paper as a Quality Inspector
for 36 years, George County Co-op for 4 years, District One of George County for 8 years. He
also was on the Rocky Creek Utility Board, the Rocky Creek Fire Department for 11 years and
served as Fire Chief and a member of the Brushy Creek Hunting Club since 1978.
He is survived by his wife: Marquita (Jones) McLeod two sons: Stacy McLeod of Kents Store,
VA, Chris McLeod of Plumerville, AR; sister: Anita McLeod of Lucedale, MS and three brothers:
Allen McLeod of Lucedale, MS, Freddy McLeod of Lucedale, MS, Kerney McLeod of Girard, GA;
He also has three grandchildren, Lauren McLeod; Jordon McLeod; Conner McLeod; great
granddaughter, Addie Rae Purvis.
Predeceased by his Father, Rufus McLeod, Mother, Glova Brewer McLeod.
The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Sigler Funeral Home,
4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Greg Barker officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Creek
Cemetery.
