Sally Jo Gwendolyn Ezell Fox was born on Saturday, December 11, 1937 in Jefferson City, Missouri and passed away June 7, 2026 in Lucedale, Mississippi at Sparrow Hills Memory Care.
She graduated from Leakesville High School in 1956 and was employed by the Bank of Lucedale before beginning a long career, over 25 years, with Blossman Gas Company.
She lived a life marked by strength, faith, and a deep love for her family and others. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Floyd O. Ezell Jr. and by Frank Fox, with whom she shared three treasured years. She was also preceded in death by her parents Lillian McLeod Peak and William Eubanks; an infant sister, Mary Eugenia Campbell; brothers Gene Eubanks and Hubert Dwain "Red" Eubanks; sister Dortha Estes; and her beloved sister-in-law, Janice Ezell and brother-in-law's, Stanley Butch Eubanks, Rayburn "Tud" Hillman, and Jim McLain.
Sally Jo is survived by her three children: daughter Lisa (David) Smith, son Monty Ezell, and daughter Niwana (Jonathan) Campbell. She leaves behind grandchildren Sabrina (Todd) Deakle, Jeremy (Chrissy Brown) Smith, Vincente Ezell, Alyssa (Jeremy) Davis, Emma (JT Martin) Ezell, Tiffany (Zach) Thomas, and Peyton (Calli) Campbell; and great-grandchildren Brooklyn (Conner) Thornton, Garrett (Kylei Gipson) Deakle, Luka and Leo Davis, and Mia Campbell.
She is also survived by her sisters, Billie (Marvin) Tilley and Charlotte Langley; sisters-in-laws Joe Ann McLain and Mary Eubanks; brother-in-law Ed Ezell; and many nieces and nephews whom she cherished dearly.
We cannot thank Sparrow Hills Assisted Living, Todd and Valerie Tanner and the wonderful staff, enough for the love and care they gave Momma over the last years of her life. Their kindness and devotion meant so much to her. She always told us how happy she was and how wonderful the staff treated her. This gave us great comfort and we are eternally grateful.
We are also truly grateful to Gentevia Home Health and Bailey, her nurse, and other staff whose care and love brought comfort and joy to Momma. We want to express our genuine gratitude to them.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main Street Lucedale MS. Burial will follow in Rocky Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00am on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main Street Lucedale MS.
