Samuel "Sam" Herbert Rascoe, Jr, better known as "Poppy" to most, was called home on Monday, May 31, 2021 at the age of 55. Sam, a resident of Lucedale, MS left this world and entered Heaven's gates, with family by his side. He was born in Mobile, Alabama on April 21, 1966. He was a jack of all trades and one of the hardest workers you would ever meet. He could fix anything you put in front of him. He loved his family and friends, his hot rod, playing with his grand babies, and working on cars or tractors. He is preceded in death by his wife, Tina Sue Rascoe, and his father, Samuel Herbert Rascoe Sr. He is survived by his daughters, Hailey (Taylor) Culbreth and Payton (Ryne) Baxter; Grandchildren, Taite, Hayden, and Brecken Culbreth; Mother, Diane (Larry) Gates, Father and Mother-in- law, Joe and Sue Mills, Brother-in-law Kevin (Lisa) Mills; Nieces Kirstie (Rick) Kichler and Karlie Mills; Great nephew and niece, Kolby and Collins Kichler, as well many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The funeral will be held 4:00 pm on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Byron Whittington officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale.

Calling hours will be Saturday, June 5 from 2:00-4:00pm at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS
