Samuel Max Young, age 63, of Lucedale passed away Thursday, April 18, 2024.  Mr. Young was born May 24, 1960 in Flemington, NJ. He is the son of the late George C. and the late Laura Sue (Killcreas) Young.

He was employed as a manager by Walmart and worked at Agricola Hardware. He was a life member of Shipman Methodist Church.

He is survived by two daughters: Amanda Lauren Young and Mahaleigh Kathleen Young Bernard; one sister: Patricia "Patsy" Sue Fairley; one brother: George Thomas "Tom" (Betsi) Young; nephew: Herschel (Alesia) Hill; niece, Peggy (Greg) Logan; 3 great nieces; and 4 great-great nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Steven Allen officiating.  Burial will be in C. F. Ward Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.
