Sandra Carol Hatcher, age 76, of Lucedale, MS died Thursday, June 24, 2021 at home in Lucedale. Mrs. Hatcher was born February 6, 1945 in Lucedale, MS. She is the daughter of the late William M. Dement and the late Della (Pugh) Dement. She married Douglas M. Hatcher on November 12, 1960 at Lucedale, MS. Mrs. Hatcher was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an active member of the Barton Baptist Church, serving on the Bereavement Committee where her favorite thing to do was wash dishes.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years: Douglas M. Hatcher , one daughter: Karen Y. (Dennis) Moffett of Lucedale, MS and four sons: Douglas S. (Donna) Hatcher of Lucedale, MS, Timothy G. (Melinda) Hatcher of McHenry, MS, Michael K. Hatcher of Lucedale, MS and Gary B (Shawntay) Hatcher of Lucedale, MS, two sisters: Barbara S. (Jerry) Vise and Linda D. (Paul) Nixon, and one brother: Paul M. Dement; She also has eleven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Wilda Dement; sister-in-law, Dot Dement

Predeceased by her daughter, Sherrie Lynn Hatcher, parents, William M. & Della Dement, brother, William D. Dement, sister, Gloria (Bobby) Smith, and brother, Shelton Dement.

The funeral will be held 3:00 pm on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Barton Baptist Church, Hwy 63 South, Lucedale, MS with Dr. Brad Howard officiating. Burial will be in Barton Baptist Church Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Sunday, June 27 from 1:00pm-3:00pm at Barton Baptist Church.
