Sandra Steele Schofield Krecker, born October 5th, 1940 in Stamford, CT, raised in Greenwich, Connecticut and Caracas, Venezuela, passed away on November 26th, 2024 in Lucedale, Mississippi. She is the daughter of the late Earle Fremont and the late Elsie Margarite (Steele) Schofield.  Her career began in the late 70's at Huntington Ingalls as an electrical apprentice. She worked her way up to design and quality assurance in electrical engineering, retiring in 2008. Her family will remember her most for her strength, tenacity, intelligence, storytelling, and humor. She is deeply missed, and the memory of her will be carried on and cherished by those who loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Elsie Marguerite Steele and Earle Fremont Schofield, as well as her son, John Earle Krecker. Those left to cherish her memories include siblings: Mary Lou Davis and Tom Richardson of Jacksonville, Florida; daughters: Valarie Krecker Kelly (spouse William U. Kelly Jr.) and Victoria Lynn Krecker Stewart; grandchildren: Jonathan M.S. Krecker, Regan A.E. Stewart, Kellen D. Stewart, and Brittany N. Krecker; great-grandchildren: Braxton M. Krecker and Elizabeth C. Krecker.
