Sidney Charles Taylor, age 76, of Lucedale died Friday, July 14, 2017 at USA Medical of Mobile, AL. Mr. Taylor was born November 18, 1940 in Livingston, TX. He is the son of the late John Wesley Taylor and the late Lois Lucille (Moore) Taylor. He married Betty Sue Havard on October 24, 1973 at Lucedale, MS.

He was employed by Ingalls Shipbuilders as a Planning Production Manager.

He is survived by his wife: Betty Sue (Havard) Taylor, three sons: Scott (Sarah) Taylor of Lucedale, MS, Sid Taylor of Lucedale, MS and Geoffrey (Meagan) Taylor of Hattiesburg, MS,; four sisters: Dot (Harold) Oates, Savannah (Tommy) Parham, Linda (Joe) Dickson and Sophronia Flarety, and four brothers: Oren (Pat) Taylor, Marvin (Laverne) Taylor, Kelton (Carolyn) Taylor and Tony (Marilyn) Taylor, 7 grandchildren 13 great grandchildren.

Predeceased by his daughter Paula Taylor, sister, Patsy Emmons, and brother, Terry Taylor

The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Monday, July 17, 2017 at Lucedale Church Of God, 11 Frontage Road, Lucedale, MS. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.

Calling hours will be Monday, July 17 from 10:00am-12:00pm at Lucedale Church of God.
