Stanley Percy "Butch " Eubanks, age 79, of Lucedale, MS died Friday, August 4, 2023 at Sparrows Hills Personal Care of Lucedale, MS.  Mr. Eubanks was born November 23, 1943 in Lucedale, MS. He is the son of the late Curtis Elmer Eubanks and the late Cora Janell (Thomas) Eubanks.  He married Mary Christine Ezell on May 25, 1976 at Rocky Creek Baptist Church.

Butch was a lifelong resident of Lucedale where he graduated from Lucedale High School. He also attended the Mississippi Fire Academy in Pearl, MS. Butch served the City of Lucedale for 37 Years. He was the city's 1st full time fireman and later served as fire chief until his retirement. Butch served our community in many ways; in the U.S. National Guard and on the Board of Directors of Multi-Mart Water Association for 30 years. Mr. Eubanks was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Lucedale but he attended Rocky Creek Baptist Church with Mary while he was able. In his spare time Butch loved to use his medal detector to hunt for "treasure" and also hunt for arrow heads.

He is survived by his wife: Mary Christine (Ezell) Eubanks  and one daughter: Missy (Sim) Shanks; granddaughter, Asher Shanks; cousin, Betty Henderson; special friends, Joe and Mary Davis; many other cousins.

Predeceased by his father, Curt Eubanks, mother, Janell Eubanks, brother, William "Pete" Curtis Eubanks, and brother, John "Johnny" Wesley Eubanks.

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Monday, August 7, 2023 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Paul Brashier officiating.  Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.

Calling hours will be Monday, August 7, 2023 from 9:00-11:00am at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS.
