Stephen "Steve" Harold Leggett, age 65, of Lucedale passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at George Regional Medical Center of Lucedale, MS.  Mr. Leggett was born July 24, 1959 in Mobile, AL. He is the son of the late John Clifton and the late Dorthy Stevens Leggett Sr.  He married Susan Marie Brown on November 10, 1978.

He was a service tech for John Deere, MS Chemical, worked construction with his father-in-law, was a service tech for a local gas company for 21 years, and then retired from Jack's Home Builders after 10+ years. He was a member of The Bridge. Mr. Leggett was a Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Susan Leggett; three daughters, Sarah Leggett, Katie (Jereme) Poole, Samantha (Cole) Holley; one son, Kody (Morgan) Leggett; Grandchildren, Hannah (Ben) Lins, Luke Davis, Gage White, Faith Holley, Nate Holley, Grayson Holley, Westyn Holley, Levi Holley, Sawyer Holley, Lincoln Leggett, Monroe Leggett; Sister In Law, Edna (Billy Dean) Fortner; Brother In Law, Billy Ray Brown Jr (Tracie); Brother In Law, Johnny (Becky) Brown; Sister In Law, Alma (Ken) Dickerson; Sister In Law, Shirley Leggett Hodges; Brother In Law, Elwood Grant; a host of nieces, nephews, friends and "little brothers"; a herd of beloved mama cows.

Predeceased by his parents, John Clifton and Dorthy Leggett; brother, Johnny Leggett; sister, Dessie Leggett; sister, Janice Grant; 2 Infant Sisters; parents in law, Billy (Ruby) Brown.

The funeral will be held 2:30 pm on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Curtis Leggett and Rev. Boo White officiating. Burial will be in Rocky Creek Cemetery.
