Teddy Eugene Hood, age 77, of Lucedale, passed away Friday, April 30, 2021 at home in Lucedale.  Mr. Hood was born February 28, 1944 in Houston, MS. He is the son of the late Teddy Rudolph and the late Euna Louise (Siddon) Hood. He married Peggy Joyce Crabtree.

Mr. Hood is a member of Red Creek Missionary Baptist Church. He served in the Army and was active in the American Legion. He was employed by the paper mill and George County School System during his lifetime  He, along with his wife, enjoyed attending gospel sings and traveling to their home in Crosby, TN.

He is survived by his wife: Peggy Crabtree Hood, daughters: Teresa Ann Miller and Judy M Smith, three sons: Nathan Hood, Jesse D Crabtree and Marty D Crabtree, three sisters: Betty (Bubba) Whigam, Sarah Weaver and Lela Blankinchip, three brothers: Raymond A Hood, Albert (Cindy) Hood and David (Rebecca) Hood.

Predeceased by his brothers, Larry (Sherry) Hood, Michael (Brenda) Hood, sisters, Virginia Snelgrove and Donna (Edward) Rich, and his first wife, Bertie Hood.

The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Red Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Red Creek Road, Lucedale, MS with Bro. Sam McClure and Bro. Rob Hunt officiating.  Burial will be in Red Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 11:00am-12:00pm at Red Creek Missionary Baptist Church, Red Creek Road, Lucedale, MS
