Terrell G. Smith, age 76, of Lucedale passed away Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at George Regional Medical Center of Lucedale, MS.  Mr. Smith was born March 31, 1948 in Mobile, AL. He is the son of the late William Ford and the late Leoma Phillips Smith.  He married Rachel Dickerson on June 27, 1968; she preceded him in death on October 16, 2023.

Mr. Smith retired from Ingall's Shipbuilding as a test and trial foreman after 37 years of employment. Mr. Smith was a member of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church; He was baptised as a young man at Rocky Creek Baptist Church. He was drafted into the Army and he served during the Vietnam war.  He was the oldest Member of American Legion Post #53; he took great pleasure in placing the U.S. flag on veteran graves. He attended Rocky Creek School and he graduated from George County High School, Class of 1966. After retirement, he worked for his cousin, Tony Smith, at KTM.

He is survived by daughter, Anna (Brent) Campbell; granddaughter, Breanna Campbell; sister, Valerie McDowell; brother-in-law, Shelton (Lois) Dickerson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Predeceased by wife, Rachel Smith; sister, Catherine Tanner; sister, Mary Lee Couch; sister, Betty Davis; brother, Turner Paul Smith; brother-in-law, Michael McDowell.

The funeral will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, March 14, 2025 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Mark Warden and Rev. Jimmy McDowell officiating.  Burial will be in Woodard Cemetery, Lucedale.

Calling hours will be Friday, March 14, 2025 from 10:30AM-12:00PM  at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS.

Pallbearers will be Glen Porter, Jamie Dickerson, Daniel Rollins, Greg Keel, Nick Whitley, Zack Kent, Heath Stovall, Jerry Havard, Gabe Murry, and Grant Cales.
