Virginia Fisher Wood, age 78, of Lucedale, MS died Friday, December 27, 2019 at George Regional Medical Center of Lucedale, MS. Mrs. Wood was born May 12, 1941 in Sebastopol, MS. She is the daughter of the late Beautel Fisher and the late Ola Grace (Underwood) Fisher. She married Bobby Jack Wood on December 24, 1958 at Moss Point, MS. She was predeceased by her husband on December 10, 2012. Mrs. Wood was a member of Barton Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, wife, grandmother and homemaker.

She is survived by three daughters: Melanie (Terry) Sandford, Kendall (Darin) O'Neal and Tara (Trent) O'Neal, and one son: Scott (Claire) Wood; 7 Grandchildren: Aaron Wood, Tyler (Jessica) O'Neal, Kaine O'Neal, Darrian (Josten) Rester, Brittany Wood, Finley O'Neal, Tate O'Neal, 2 Great Grandchildren: Logan Wood, Eli Wood

The funeral will be held 11:00 am on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Barton Baptist Church, Hwy 63 South, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Brad Howard officiating. Burial will be in Barton Baptist Church Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Monday, December 30 from 10:00am-11:00am at Barton Baptist Church.
