Willie Sue Harless Brooks Gilliam, age 90, of Lucedale, MS passed away on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Benndale Personal Care in Lucedale, MS.  Mrs. Gilliam was born September 29, 1931 in Moselle, MS. She is the daughter of the late John Hardy and the late Frances Emmie (Blacklidge) Harless. She was preceded in death by her husbands: Billy Brooks and Randall Gilliam Jr.

Mrs. Gilliam was a homemaker but also worked at various jobs throughout her life: bus driver, lunch room worker, dispatcher for the George County sheriff's office, state officer for the Eastern Star, officer and president of Sam's Club, and a faithful and active member of Salem United Methodist church. She was also a star basketball player for the Rainey High School.

She is survived by one daughter: Pattie B. (David) Cumbest and two sons: Dwain (Debbie) Brooks of Lucedale, MS and Jeffery (Kathy) Brooks of Lucedale, MS, She also has eight grandchildren, William Lee(Tammy) Cumbest, Emmie Elizabeth Cumbest Jones, Jason (Heather) Brooks, Adam Brooks, Jeremy Brooks, Suzanne Brooks Roberts, Joseph (Samantha) Schambeau, and Nina (Bill Breland) Schambeau, and 12 Great Grandchildren And Great Great Grandchildren.

Predeceased by her Son, Billie Dave Brooks, husbands: Billie Brooks and Randall Gilliam Jr., a blended family of 13 sibling Elsie Harless Schultz, Odell Harless,  James Harless, Virgie Breland Bryant,  Jessie Breland Odom,  Ruby Breland May, Dollie Breland Bush, George Harless Sr.,  Osyth Harless Walters, Inez Harless, Jack Harless, O.B. Harless and  Occie Harless.

The funeral will be held 12:00 pm on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS with Rev. Gilbert White and Rev. Jonathan Tullos officiating.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale, MS.

Calling hours will be Saturday, May 7, 2022 from 10:30am-12:00pm at Sigler Funeral Home, 4248 Main St., Lucedale, MS
