Winford S. Bennett, Sr, age 93, of Lucedale died Saturday, July 27, 2019 at home in Lucedale. Mr. Bennett was born October 9, 1925 in Darbun, MS. He is the son of the late W. C. Bennett and the late Inez (Foil) Bennett. He married Delores Hinton on March 3, 1951. He was predeceased by his wife on September 20, 2009. He retired from Singing River Electric as a Line Foreman.

He is survived by one son: Winford S. Bennett Jr of Lucedale, MS; granddaughter, Vanessa Lister of Lucedale, MS; great grandson, David Nawrot of Lucedale, MS; great granddaughter, Anna Stewart of Lucedale, MS; great granddaughter, Emma Stewart of Lucedale, MS; Great Great Grandson, Brently Holloway of Lucedale, MS. one sister: Aliene Burton and two brothers: Leamon Bennett and Homer Bennett

The funeral will be held 11:00 pm on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Sigler Funeral Home Inc., 4248 Main Street, Lucedale, MS with Rev. Eugene Hamilton officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery, Lucedale.
